Carpet
Curved staircase in carpet
A curved staircase stripped back to bare treads and recarpeted around its full sweep, cut tight to the oak stringer on every winder.

What we did
A curve is the hardest carpet work there is. On a straight flight the same measurement repeats all the way up; on a sweep every tread is a different shape, so each one is measured and cut on its own and there is no second chance at a piece once it is cut. The old carpet came off first, back to bare treads, and the gripper was reset around the curve before anything new went down. The finished carpet is cut tight to the oak stringer the whole way up, so the edge stays crisp and nothing lifts underfoot where the tread narrows.

We come out, measure for free, and put the quote in writing before anything starts.
More of our work
Open riser stairs in carpet
Open riser basement stairs carpeted, with every tread wrapped around the front and the underside so there is no raw edge anywhere.
Carpet inset into a curved staircase
Carpet set into the top of each tread on a curved flight, wrapped around the rounded starting step, with the dark stained risers left bare.
