Carpet
A patterned runner through a turn
A lattice pattern carried down a turning staircase with the repeat kept straight the whole way.
What we did
Pattern is what makes this hard. On a plain carpet a small error disappears into the pile; on a repeat it shows up as a kink in a line that is supposed to run dead straight down the flight. Every piece has to be cut so the pattern picks up exactly where the last one left off, and at the turn the treads change shape underneath a pattern that does not, so the lines have to stay true while the carpet beneath them does not.
Thinking about a job like this?
We come out, measure for free, and put the quote in writing before anything starts.
More of our work
Curved staircase in carpet
A curved staircase stripped back to bare treads and recarpeted around its full sweep, cut tight to the oak stringer on every winder.
Open riser stairs in carpet
Open riser basement stairs carpeted, with every tread wrapped around the front and the underside so there is no raw edge anywhere.
